The Atlanta Falcons signed right tackle Ryan Schraeder to a five-year contract extension on Monday, keeping him out of the unrestricted free agent market.

The deal through 2021 is worth a maximum of $33 million with $12.5 million guaranteed, according ESPN and NFL Network.

The Falcons signed the 6-foot-7, 300-pound Schraeder as a college free agent out of Valdosta State in 2013. He won a starting job in 2014.

Atlanta kept the 28-year-old Schraeder as a restricted free agent this year with the second-round tender.
