Michael Vick remains the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback for at least this week.

The Eagles announced Wednesday in a text message that Vick will be the starter Monday night against the Saints in New Orleans.

The Eagles (3-4) have dropped three straight games, including a 30-17 loss Sunday to Atlanta, and there was speculation that coach Andy Reid might bench Vick in favor of rookie Nick Foles, a third-round draft pick from Arizona.

Vick, a four-time Pro Bowler, has thrown nine touchdown passes and eight interceptions and lost five fumbles this season. His 78.6 passer rating is his lowest since he came to the Eagles in 2009.

The Eagles resume practice Thursday in preparation for Monday night’s game against the Saints (2-5).
