The Miami Dolphins signed free agent linebacker James Davidson and waived tight end Arthur Lynch on Monday.
The 6-foot-3, 242-pound Davidson joins Miami after spending time with the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals in 2014. He originally signed with the Bengals as an undrafted college free agent out of UTEP on May 12, 2014, prior to spending time on their practice squad. He was signed to the Giants’ active roster on Dec. 2, 2014, appearing in two games. He was waived on May 11.
Lynch, the team’s 2014 fifth-round draft pick from Georgia, spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve with a severe back injury.
