Veteran offensive lineman Jacques McClendon signed with the Miami Dolphins, who released linebacker James-Michael Johnson.
McClendon has played in 23 career games with five starts. He gives the Dolphins insurance for Mike Pouncey, who injured his foot Sunday against the New York Jets.
McClendon was signed by the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent on April 22, 2015 but was released before Week 1 of the regular season on Sept. 11.
McClendon re-signed with the Dolphins on Sept. 14 and appeared in one game at Jacksonville (Sept. 20) prior to being released on Sept. 26.
