PITTSBURGH — Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Howie Kendrick exited with a left hamstring strain in the fifth inning of Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Kendrick was injured while beating out an infield single to lead off the inning. He was replaced by pinch-runner Kike Herandez, who remained in the game to play second base.

Kendrick went 2-for-3, giving him five consecutive multi-hit games. He is 11-for-23 (.478) during that span.
