Major League Baseball suspended Arizona Diamondbacks minor league pitcher Argeny Hiciano for 50 games on Friday because of a drug policy violation.
The right-hander tested postivie for metabolites of Boldenone, a performance-enhancing substance that is barred by the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment program.
Hiciano is on the roster of the Diamondbacks’ Dominican Summer League team. The suspension will begin at the start of the league’s season.
He became the 30th player suspended this year as part of the minor league drug program.
