Right-hander Dallas Beeler was recalled by the Chicago Cubs from Triple-A Iowa for a day-night doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Beeler was 1-5 with a 6.33 ERA in 13 starts at Iowa.
MLB rules allow for teams to add a 26th player to the roster on dates when doubleheaders are played.
Beeler was 0-2 with a 3.27 ERA in two major league starts in 2014.
