Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was selected to the Pro Bowl, the NFL announced Monday.
Luck was named as a replacement for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who will play in Super Bowl XLVIII.
The Pro Bowl is this Sunday at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
In 2013, Luck started all 16 regular season games for the second straight year and completed 343 of 570 passes for 3,822 yards, 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions for an 87.0 passer rating. He also rushed for 377 yards with four touchdowns on 63 attempts.
In two playoff games, Luck completed 49 of 86 passes for 774 yards, six touchdowns and seven interceptions for a 76.4 passer rating.
Luck has led the Colts to 22 regular-season wins in his first two seasons, which is tied for the second-most to start an NFL career since 1970. He has also thrown for 8,196 passing yards and led the Colts on 10 fourth quarter/overtime game-winning drives in the regular season, which are NFL records through a quarterback’s first two years.
In a 45-44 AFC wild card win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Jan. 4, Luck led the Colts to the second-largest comeback in NFL postseason history after trailing by 28 points in the second half. His 443 passing yards marked the second-most in franchise postseason history and the fifth-most in NFL postseason history. His four touchdown passes in the game tied for the second-most in franchise postseason history.
For his career, Luck has completed 682 of 1,197 passes for 8,196 yards, 46 touchdowns and 27 interceptions for an 81.5 passer rating. He has also rushed for 632 yards with nine touchdowns on 125 attempts.
This marks Luck’s second consecutive Pro Bowl selection. He joins outside linebacker Robert Mathis and long snapper Matt Overton as the other Colts in this year’s game.
