Chiefs re-sign DL Howard

The Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday re-signed defensive lineman Jaye Howard. Terms of the contract were not released.

Howard has made 24 starts and played in 37 games during his three-year career in Kansas City. In 2015, Howard made 13 starts for the Chiefs and recorded 57 tackles (36 solo), 11 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries.

Howard has career totals of 99 tackles (65 solo), 15 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and 15 quarterback pressures.

He spent one season with Seattle after being drafted by the Seahawks in the fourth round (114th overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs claimed him on waivers before the 2013 season.
