Offensive tackle Eric Fisher has emerged as the likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Central Michigan left tackle has met three times with members of the Kansas City Chiefs’ management team, including at the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine.

According to multiple reports, the Chiefs are fielding calls from teams considering trading up for the top pick.

If the Chiefs move down, they would still likely be in the market for an offensive tackle, but could turn their attention to defensive line, linebacker or defensive back prospects depending on how far they move down in any potential trade.

Negotiations with the Miami Dolphins, who are hopeful they can acquire franchised left tackle Branden Albert for a second-round pick, were ongoing Thursday.

The Chiefs don’t have their original second-round pick (34th overall), which was dealt to the San Francisco 49ers for quarterback Alex Smith in March.
