Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert officially signed his one-year franchise tender of $9.828 million.
Albert is penciled in as the Chiefs’ starting left tackle. However, Kansas City also owns the No. 1 overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft. With Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel among those believed to be in the running for the top pick, Albert’s name has come up routinely in trade rumors.
