Chargers promote Sirianni to QBs coach

San Diego Chargers head coach Mike McCoy finalized his staff with the additions of Nick Sirianni as quarterbacks coach, Bobby King as assistant linebackers coach and Shane Steichen as quality control-offense.

Sirianni was promoted Monday to coach the quarterbacks, after serving as a quality control assistant on offense last season. He originally joined the Chargers from the Chiefs, where he spent 2009-11 as quality control coach, including his last season in Kansas City (2012) as wide receivers coach.

King joins the Chargers from the Houston Texans, where he also was assistant linebackers coach. He was a defensive assistant in 2011 with the Texans and was promoted in March 2012.

Steichen returns to the Chargers after spending the last season with the Cleveland Browns as offensive quality control coach. Steichen served as a defensive assistant from 2011-2012 during his first stint in San Diego.
