The Cleveland Cavaliers agreed to a one-year deal with former first-round pick Austin Daye, according to multiple reports.
The 27-year-old small forward, who starred at Gonzaga, has been a member of five NBA teams and has had a couple of NBA Development League stints since being drafted in 2009.
He was part of the San Antonio Spurs’ 2014 championship team.
The 6-foot-11 Daye has a career average of 5.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game and makes 35 percent of his 3-point attempts.
Quinn Cook, Jared Cunningham, D.J. Stephens and Nick Minnerath are also vying for the Cavaliers’ 15th and final roster spot.
