
The Cleveland Cavaliers signed forward/center Jack Cooley to a contract Saturday.
The 6-foot-10, 250-pound Cooley, who went undrafted out of Notre Dame in 2013, appeared in 16 games for the Utah Jazz last season. He also played in 20 games for the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League, averaging 16.8 points on .572 shooting, 12.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 30.8 minutes per game. Cooley, 24, played on the Cavs 2014 Summer League team.
In a related move, the Cavs waived center Chris Johnson, who appeared in four preseason games for the Cavs.
