Cleveland Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson is expected to start Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, according to reports.
In Game 1, the Bulls took away home-court advantage with a 99-92 victory in Cleveland.
Cavaliers coach David Blatt plans to insert Thompson into the lineup to replace Mike Miller, who struggled starting in place of the injured Kevin Love in Monday night’s game. Miler had three points and five rebounds in the loss.
Thompson started 15 games during the regular season and has come off the bench in each of the team’s previous five playoff games, averaging 6.6 points and seven rebounds in 27.8 minutes this postseason. During the regular season, he averaged 8.5 points and eight rebounds in 82 games.
