Cavs’ Dellavedova treated for severe cramps

After turning in a huge performance that helped the Cleveland Cavaliers win Game 3 of the NBA Finals, guard Matthew Dellavedova experienced severe cramps, the team announced late Tuesday.

Dellavedova received treatment that including intravenous fluids, and he missed the Cavaliers’ postgame media sessions.

According to the Cavaliers, Dellavedova was due to continue getting treatment Tuesday night at the Cleveland Clinic, and a report on his condition will be issued Wednesday afternoon.

Game 4 of the series is scheduled for Thursday in Cleveland.

Dellavedova scored a playoff-career-high 20 points Tuesday as the Cavs beat the Golden State Warriors 96-91 to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Finals.

Filling in for injured point guard Kyrie Irving the past two games, Dellavedova has a combined 29 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in those contests.
