The Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday picked up the option on center Timofey Mozgov for the 2015-16 season.
Mozgov will earn $4.9 million and then become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2016.
The 28-year-old veteran was acquired from the Denver Nuggets in January for two future first-round draft picks. He averaged 9.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks during this past season and gave the Cavaliers much-needed rim protection.
