Cardinals interview Todd Haley

The Cardinals are scheduled to interview former offensive coordinator Todd Haley to replace Ken Whisenhunt as head coach.

Haley served as Steelers offensive coordiantor in 2012 after he was fired before finishing his second season as head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Cardinals have failed in appeasing star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald since signing him to a $120 million contract in 2011, with a quarterback carousel that never produced a consistent passer and a shaky offensive line.

Haley and Fitzgerald were very close on and off the field in Arizona. He previously served as offensive coordinator of the Cardinals under Whisenhunt.

Current Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton also interviewed for the head coaching position.

The Cardinals reportedly have five coaches on their wish list, including Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, who is tentatively scheduled to interview Saturday.
