The St. Louis Cardinals activated right-hander Lance Lynn from the 15-day disabled list Thursday.
Lynn, out with a right forearm strain, was scheduled to start Thursday night’s series finale in Miami against the Marlins.
Lynn, 28, is 4-4 with a 3.07 ERA in 12 games started this season. His last outing came on June 7 at Los Angeles in a 4-2 win for the Cardinals.
To make room for Lynn on the team’s 25-man active roster, left-hander Tyler Lyons was optioned to Triple-A Memphis following Wednesday night’s game.
Lyons, 27, made two starts for the Cardinals while Lynn was on the disabled list and provided wins on both June 13 against Kansas City and June 19 at Philadelphia.
