Georgia wide receiver Michael Bennett is done for the season with a torn ACL in his right knee, suffered during Tuesday’s practice.
Bennett was the Bulldogs’ leading receiver with 24 receptions for 345 yards and four touchdowns. He will have reconstructive knee surgery at some point, Georgia director of sports medicine Ron Courson said Wednesday in a news release.
Bennett ranked seventh in the SEC with 69 receiving yards per game. Marlon Brown and Tavarres King also ranking among the league leaders, and will fill the void for the fifth-ranked Bulldogs.
