The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed starting defensive end Adrian Clayborn on season-ending injured reserve with a biceps injury and re-signed defensive end Scott Solomon on Friday.

Clayborn started Tampa Bay’s 20-14 season-opening loss to the Carolina Panthers, recording one tackle. Last season, Clayborn registered 5 1/2 sacks. During his 2011 rookie season, he recorded 7 1/2 sacks.

Solomon (6-foot-3, 262 pounds) spent the 2014 offseason and preseason with the Bucs before being released. He spent part of the 2013 season in Tampa Bay, but did not appear in a game.
