The NFL is considering suspending Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson for his helmet-to-helmet hit on New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles on Sunday, according to ESPN.

Goldson was fined $30,000 last week for a hit against New York Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland in the regular season opener. He was penalized for the play.

Goldson also received a flag for the Sproles hit. Since 2010, Goldson leads the league with 15 personal fouls. Because of his history of personal fouls, including this season, the league is expected to decide by Tuesday if it will suspend Goldson, sources told ESPN.

After playing his first six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, Goldson signed a five-year, $41.25 million contract with Tampa Bay in the offseason.
