Week 5 … U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week” for Games of Sept. 27, 2025
In a weekend overflowing with major matchups between traditional college football powers, none was bigger than undefeated No. 6 Oregon visiting undefeated No. 3 Penn State in State College for the annual “Whiteout” game.
The game provided everything that fans expected … and more.
After being tied, 3-3, at intermission, Oregon raced to a 17-3 margin in the fourth quarter. But, the Nitany Lions, led by veteran quarterback Drew Allar, knotted the game at 17-17 in the final 30 seconds.
The drama and the victory went the Ducks’ way in overtime. In their second extra possession, visiting quarterback Dante Moore and wide receiver Gary Bryant took charge. Bryant hauled in a 25-yard catch and run on the first play which produced the winning score.
That scoring catch by Bryant has been chosen as the U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week.”
For the game, Bryant had six receptions for 55 yards and the winning score. Moore passed for 248 yads and three touchdowns including the deciding throw.
Remember … for the tailgate tent or the pre-game party, U. S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always “the winning catch.”
The Catfish Institute, or TCI, was formed in 1986 by catfish farmers and feed manufacturers to raise consumer awareness of the positive qualities of U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish. Since its formation, U.S. per capita consumption has more than doubled.
