The Cleveland Browns signed veteran linebacker Moise Fokou on Monday.
The 6-foot-1, 243-pound Fokou is in his seventh NFL season out of Maryland. Originally selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round in 2009, Fokou has appeared in 73 career games with the Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints.
Fokou has totaled 195 tackles, three sacks, six passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries on defense, and 40 stops on special teams. Last season, Fokou appeared in two games with the Saints.
The Browns also waived wide receiver Rodney Smith. He appeared in three games with the Browns last season and didn’t have a catch.
