Browns hire Settle as RB coach

The Cleveland Browns have settled on John Settle as their running backs coach, according to multiple reports.

Settle and new coach Rob Chudzinski worked together with the Carolina Panthers.

Settle began his NFL coaching career as a Browns offensive assistant in 1995 and also coached in Baltimore and in college.

He’ll work with second-year running back Trent Richardson, who showed potential during his rookie season, despite myriad injuries.

As a player, Settle spent four years with the Atlanta Falcons.
