The Denver Broncos signed free agent safeties Shiloh Keo and Brandian Ross to one-year contracts Monday.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Keo, 28, is a fifth-year player who appeared in four regular-season games and two postseason contests for the Broncos in 2015 after spending his first three NFL seasons (2011-13) with Houston. He was selected by the Texans in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of the University of Idaho.
In 46 career regular-season games (11 starts), Keo has totaled 67 tackles, three interceptions and eight passes defensed in addition to 20 special teams tackles. He also has posted 11 tackles and one special teams stop in six career postseason games (one start).
The 6-0, 190-pound Ross, 26, is a fifth-year player who has competed in 45 career regular-season games (24 starts) with Oakland (2012-14), Miami (2014) and San Diego (2015), totaling 144 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, nine passes defensed and two forced fumbles.
Signed by Green Bay as a college free agent in 2011 from Youngstown State, Ross spent his rookie season competing on the Packers’ practice squad. He was signed to Oakland’s active roster in 2012 and went on to play 14 games (one start) in his first season.
From 2013-14, Ross started 23 of 29 games for the Raiders and totaled the third-most tackles (127) on the team during that time. After playing one game for Miami to end the 2014 season, Ross competed with Oakland during training camp in 2015 and ultimately signed with San Diego during the regular season, seeing action in one game for the Chargers.
