Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers will be sidelined for at least four weeks with a broken hand.
Flowers originally was injured on July 1 when he was struck on the left hand by a pitch from Miami’s A.J. Ramos.
In Saturday’s game against the Chicago Cubs, Flowers left after the second inning after checking his swing and apparently re-aggravating the injury.
The same hand was fractured in 2011 on the next-to-last day of the season.
He is hitting .253 with seven homers and 21 RBIs.
