Former Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles announced Tuesday on Twitter that he will throw for scouts at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Johnny Manziel, the former Texas A&M and Heisman Trophy winner, said earlier that he will not throw during the Combine. Quarterback passing drills are scheduled for Sunday.

“Dreamt about the combine since I was a kid! Fired up to compete in all aspects of it, especially throwing!” Bortles tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

Bortles is one of the top three quarterbacks in the 2014 NFL Draft. Manziel and former Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater are the other two.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Bortles is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback and the No. 5 overall prospect by NFLDraftScout.com. Several projections have Bortles going No. 1 overall to the Houston Texans in the May draft.
