The Toronto Blue Jays recalled outfielder prospect Anthony Gose from Class AAA Buffalo on Monday.
Gose is batting .227 with two home runs and has five stolen bases for Buffalo this season.
The Blue Jays sent right-hander Mickey Storey to Buffalo. Storey allowed three runs in 3 2/3 innings for Toronto.
Gose batted .223 in 56 games for the Blue Jays last year.
His primary role will be as a defensive replacement for Melky Cabrera, who has been dealing with hamstring issues.
