Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson is expected to sit out for about two weeks with a hamstring injury suffered in practice Friday.
Jackson, the league’s oldest running back at age 34, had been splitting first-team plays with new starter LeSean McCoy, who has been bothered by a sore toe.
Jackson joins Boobie Dixon on the sideline; Dixon is expected to miss a month with a calf injury suffered Monday.
The Bills’ other running backs are Bryce Brown, fifth-round rookie Karlos Williams and newly signed rookie Bronson Hill.
Jackson is entering his ninth season in Buffalo and is coming off one of his worst years — 525 rushing yards and a career-low 3.7 yards per attempt.
