The Cincinnati Bengals signed veteran free agent cornerback Chykie Brown on Monday.
A fifth-year NFL player, the 5-foot-11, 191-pound Brown has 54 games of experience, with six starts, over 2011-14 with the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants. He also has four games of postseason experience, with two starts, all from 2012, when he played every game with the Baltimore team that won Super Bowl XLVII.
Brown was a fifth-round draft choice of the Ravens in 2011, went to the Giants on waivers during the 2014 season and was with the Giants in the 2015 preseason. He was not with a team during the 2015 regular season.
The Bengals also signed free agent offensive tackle Darryl Baldwin, a first-year pro from Ohio State.
The 6-6, 305-pound Baldwin signed with Baltimore as a college free agent in 2015. He was with the Ravens in preseason and played in one game before being placed on the reserve/non-football Illness list. He was waived by the Ravens during final preseason cuts and was not with an NFL team during the regular season.
