
The Memphis Grizzlies added free-agent forward Michael Beasley to their training-camp roster, the team announced Thursday.
The 6-foot-9 Beasley played in 55 games for the Miami Heat last season and averaged 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds.
In 409 NBA games with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns and Heat, Beasley has averaged 13.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists. The 25-year-old was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Beasley had worked out with the Los Angeles Lakers before agreeing to join the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies also added Patrick Christopher, Luke Hancock, Kalin Lucas, Earl Clark and Hassan Whiteside to their training camp roster.
Clark was with the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks last season. He averaged 4.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 54 games.
