LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Safety Chris Conte was fully cleared before practice Thursday and is expected to play Sunday as part of a three-way safety rotation with Ryan Mundy and Danny McCray.
Conte practiced Monday and Wednesday on a limited basis and was a full participant Thursday, signaling his recovery from a concussion.
Head coach Marc Trestman said rookie Brock Vereen would also get playing time Sunday.
Mundy had 15 stitches removed Wednesday from a head laceration suffered against Seattle, one that caused him to reportedly consider suing the manufacturer.
Now practicing, he has changed helmets.
“I’ve got this big spaceship helmet,” he said. “It’s from Riddell.”
