Bears re-sign DT Collins, QB Palmer

The Chicago Bears re-signed defensive tackle Nate Collins and quarterback Jordan Palmer to one-year deals. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Collins had 13 tackles, one sacks and three quarterback hits in five games last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury.

Palmer spent the final nine games of last season on the active roster, but did not see any action behind Jay Cutler and Josh McCown. He has also been working as a quarterbacks coach with prospects preparing for the 2014 NFL Draft.
