Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler left Monday night’s game against Detroit because of a rib injury, but he returned in the second half.

Midway through the second quarter, Cutler was chased from the pocket and thrown to the ground by Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh.

Cutler stayed on the ground for several minutes before jogging to the sidelines. He returned for one play, throwing a pass that fell incomplete, before heading to the locker room to have his ribs examined.
