Basketball Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 68, was treated and released from a Los Angeles hospital following a 911 call Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Abdul-Jabbar was experiencing dizziness as he recovers from April 16 quadruple coronary bypass surgery.

After a series of tests, his surgeon, Dr. Richard Shemin, concluded it was a normal part of the recovery process, although “Abdul-Jabbar did the right thing by coming in to see his doctors. …

“He was evaluated by his surgeon and cardiologist. After a battery of tests, they found no complications. Abdul-Jabbar was discharged from the emergency department and is back home continuing his recovery.”
