The San Francisco 49ers signed tight end Cameron Morrah to a one-year contract on Thursday.
Morrah, a seventh-round pick draft pick by Seattle in 2009, has 16 receptions for 194 yards in 27 career games, including seven starts, for the Seahawks.
Injuries have plagued the 26–year-old former Cal player the past two seasons. He was limited to nine games in 2011 and spent last season on injured reserve.
After the 49ers lost Delanie Walker through free agency to the Tennessee Titans during the offseason, they were down to two tight ends on the roster with Vernon Davis and Garrett Celek before signing Morrah.
