Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE

COACH: Frank Solich — At Ohio: 50-40, 7 years;

OVERALL: 108-59, 13 years

OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Tim Albin

DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Jimmy Burrow

LAST LEAGUE TITLE: 1968

LAST TIME DIDN’T GO BOWLING: 2008

RETURNING STARTERS: 12; 5 offense, 6 defense, kicker

PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Tyler Tettleton, WR Donte Foster, TE Jordan Thompson, LT John Prior, DT Carl Jones, MLB Keith Moore, K Matt Weller

PRIMARY STRENGTHS: Tettleton had a stellar season running Ohio’s offense last year. He has all the intangibles and talent to become an elite quarterback in the conference. The defense has plenty of playmakers along the line and in the secondary. Travis Carrie is a shutdown cornerback in a secondary packed with returnees.

POTENTIAL PROBLEMS: Ohio’s offensive success last year was based on the productive play of talented wideouts LaVon Brazil and Riley Dunlop, who are gone. The Bobcats don’t have a reliable backup to Tettleton. A tough, hard-nosed QB, he must scale back his running to stay healthy.
