The Golden State Warriors signed free agent guard-forward Brandon Rush on Tuesday.

Terms of the contract were not diclosed by the team, but the two-year deal was reported to be worth approximately $2.5 million with a player option for the second year.

The 29-year-old Rush rejoins the Warriors after playing in 67 games for the team in 2011-13 and averaging 9.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 50.4 percent from the field and 44.8 percent on 3-pointers.

The 2011-12 season was Rush’s best in the NBA, averaging 9.8 points and shooting 50.1 percent from the field and 45.2 percent from 3-point range for Golden State.

Rush tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee during the second game in 2012-13 and missed the rest of that season. The Warriors traded Rush to the Utah Jazz in July 2013 as part of a deal that included Andre Iguodala coming to the Warriors.

In 38 games last season for the Jazz, Rush was limited to 2.1 points and 1.2 rebounds — well below his career averages of 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Selected No. 13 overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers and traded to the Indiana Pacers on draft day, Rush spent three seasons with the Pacers before he was traded to Golden State in December 2011.
