Colts agree to terms with S Adams

The Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms with free agent safety Mike Adams on Saturday.

Adams, 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, has 488 tackles (368 solo), 55 pass breakups, 13 interceptions, nine fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles and 5.0 sacks in 146 regular season games (73 starts) in his 10-year NFL career. He also has 14 solo tackles and two pass breakups in four playoff starts.

Adams spent the past two seasons with the Denver Broncos. In 2012, he had career highs with 80 tackles and 11 pass breakups. Last season, he had 60 tackles (45 solo), six pass breakups, one interception and one fumble recovery in 16 regular season games. It was the third straight year he played in every game.

Before coming to Denver, Adams spent three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and five with the Cleveland Browns. He was originally signed by San Francisco as an undrafted free agent out of Delaware in 2004.
