Kansas City Chiefs player notes for Dec 17th, 2018

*Kendall Fuller – Noteworthy – Injury
CB Kendall Fuller underwent thumb surgery on Friday, but the Chiefs do not expect the injury to keep him sidelined during his recovery. Fuller injured his thumb against Baltimore in Week 14 and played with a temporary cast on his right hand Thursday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs expect Fuller to play against Seattle with a cast on his hand.

Cameron Erving – Noteworthy – Injury
LG Cam Erving missed last week’s game against the Chargers with a knee injury, but head coach Andy Reid said the lineman continues making good progress in his recovery. Veteran Jeff Allen started in Erving’s place against Los Angeles.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif – Noteworthy – Injury
RG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif remains on injured reserve while recovering from a fractured fibula and ligament damage in his ankle. He continues wearing a walking boot and remains ahead of schedule in his recovery, but head coach Andy Reid said he’s not ready to return yet. If Duvernay-Tardif returns this season, it may not occur until the postseason.

Sammy Watkins – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Sammy Watkins continues his recovery from a right foot injury, which head coach Andy Reid describes as a day-to-day injury. Watkins has missed each of the team’s last three games and his status for the club’s Week 16 trip to Seattle remains in doubt.

Spencer Ware – Noteworthy – Injury
RB Spencer Ware suffered shoulder and hamstring injuries in Week 14 against Baltimore, but it’s the hamstring issue causing the most concern for Chiefs. Head coach Andy Reid said it’s not a severe injury, but it did impact Ware’s ability to open up for the game against the Chargers in Week 15. The team plans to evaluate his status on day-by-day basis and hasn’t ruled out his return this week against Seattle.
