
The Kansas City Chiefs signed running back and return specialist De’Anthony Thomas to a contract on Friday.
The team did not announce terms of the deal for the fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft lst weekend.
The 5-foot-8, 174-pound Thomas played college ball at Oregon. In 37 games and 19 starts, he rushed 243 times for 1,961 yards, an 8.1-yard average, and 26 touchdowns. He caught 113 passes for 1,296 yards with 15 touchdowns and also returned kicks, including 16 punts for 274 yards (17.1-yard average) with one touchdown and 73 kickoffs for 1,885 yards (25.8-yard average) with four touchdowns.
Thomas, who also ran track at Oregon, became the fourth of the Chiefs’ six 2014 draft picks to sign with the team.
