The Boston Red Sox placed outfielder Shane Victorino on the 15-day disabled list Monday, retroactive to March 30, with a right hamstring strain.
To fill his spot on the 25-man roster, the club recalled outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. from Triple-A Pawtucket.
Victorino was injured while running the bases during Saturday’s Grapefruit League finale against the Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers, Fla.
The 33-year-old batted .250 with three doubles, an RBI and three runs in 10 spring training games.
Bradley, 23, went 9-for-57 (.158) with four doubles, one triple, five RBIs and two runs in 19 games this spring.
