Linebacker Calvin Pace reached agreement Sunday on a two-year, $5 million contract to remain with the New York Jets, according to reports.
Pace led the Jets last season with 10 sacks and had 53 tackles. The 34-year-old veteran started all 16 games each of the past three seasons.
The 34-year-old Pace joined the Jets in 2008 after signing a six-year, $42 million contract as a free agent. He was released last February but returned after the Jets re-signed him to a one-year deal in a cap-related move.
After being selected in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft by Arizona, Pace spent five seasons with the Cardinals. He has 548 career tackles, 52 sacks, three interceptions and 19 forced fumbles.
