The Philadelphia 76ers signed forward Jarvis Varnado to a second 10-day contract on Wednesday.
Varnado joined the 76ers after signing his first 10-day contract on March 1. At that point, Varnado ranked second in the NBA Development League in rebounding at 11.0 per game and first in blocked shots at 4.7 per game. While playing for the Iowa Enengy, he was named to a D-League all-star this year.
The 6-foot-9 Varnado has played in five games for the 76ers this season and has 14 points and 17 rebounds. He also saw action in one game with the Chicago Bulls earlier this year.
Last season, the 25-year-old Varnado was with the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, playing a combined 13 games.
