New York Giants player notes for Dec 13th, 2018

Cody Latimer – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
WR Cody Latimer will be activated from reserve/injured next week when his 21-day window ends. It’s unclear if Latimer’s pending activation is directly resulted to Odell Beckham’s thigh bruise.

Odell Beckham Jr. – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quad) was limited in practice Wednesday. On Monday, Beckham gave reporters a single thumbs-up, quipping that he hoped to get to two thumbs up by the end of the week.
Beckham was a surprise last-minute scratch last week.

Odell Beckham Jr. – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Odell Beckham Jr., who missed last week’s victory over the Washington Redskins because of quad injury, did not practice Wednesday and is a question mark for Sunday’s game against Tennessee.
Head coach Pat Shurmur said Beckham is progressing and that the Giants are anxious to get their star receiver back onto the field, but that they won’t rush him. And Shurmur made it clear that he wants reporters to get their updates from him, and not from Beckham. “We’ll try to get him back as quickly as possible,” Shurmur said on a conference call with Tennessee reporters. “He is feeling better each day. I don’t think he is going to practice today, but we’ll see as the week progresses. … And I encourage our players not to talk about their injuries, so hopefully that’s about all you’ll get out of it.”

Rhett Ellison – Noteworthy – Injury
TE Rhett Ellison (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. This is Ellison’s second lower-body injury. Earlier in the year he missed a game due to a sprained foot.

Woodrow Hamilton – Noteworthy – Transaction
DT Woodrow Hamilton was signed by the Giants to the practice squad Wednesday (Dec. 12). He had been released by the Saints from the practice squad Sept. 27.
