*Michael Clark – Noteworthy – Injury
DT Kenny Clark, who is having a Pro Bowl-caliber season with six sacks and 73 tackles, was briefly knocked out of the Atlanta game with an elbow injury.
He returned to that game but did not practice on Wednesday.
Bashaud Breeland – Noteworthy – Injury
CB Bashaud Breeland, who intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown to spark last week’s victory over Atlanta, did not practice on Wednesday. He missed the last two games with a groin injury.
Bryan Bulaga – Noteworthy – Injury
RT Bryan Bulaga (knee) and LG Lane Taylor (foot) did not play against Atlanta. Bulaga did not practice on Wednesday while Taylor was limited participation.
If Bulaga can’t play, Jason Spriggs would start for a second consecutive week. “It is a confidence boost, getting in there and playing,” Spriggs said. “I think it’s less of a confidence booster as it is a comfort level, I guess – just getting in there, playing, going with the flow. The more playing time you get, always the better.”
Byron Bell – Noteworthy – Injury
RG Byron Bell was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. He had made nine consecutive starts until being inactive for last week’s game.
“Byron’s made a real valuable contribution to the ballclub,” interim head coach Joe Philbin said. “It’s tough for players. They want to play and when that happens, it’s difficult for them. Justin, as a coach, when you go to bed at night, you kind of think about the players on your team and the faith that you have in the guys and the competitiveness of the men on your team. And this guy’s a competitor, he battles every single play. I think as a coach, you appreciate that, you respect that. So yeah, we’ll see. He did some good things in the game.”
Byron Bell – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
OT Byron Bell was placed on injured reserve, the Green Bay Packers announced Wednesday. Guard Nico Siragusa was signed off the practice squad in a corresponding move. Bell made nine starts and 12 appearances this season before sustaining a knee injury in Green Bay’s 20-17 setback to the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 2. The 29-year-old Bell, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, was one of three starters to sit out Sunday’s 34-20 victory against the Atlanta Falcons.
Justin McCray – Noteworthy – Injury
G Justin McCray, who started the first three games of the season, figures to move back into the lineup with RG Byron Bell out for the season.
Nico Siragusa – Noteworthy – Transaction
G Nico Siragusa was signed by the Packers Wednesday (Dec. 12) from the Ravens practice squad. Siragusa (6-4, 320) was originally drafted by the Baltimore Ravens out of San Diego State in the fourth round (No. 122 overall) of the 2017 draft. He spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in training camp. Siragusa has been on the Ravens’ practice squad for all of this season.
