The Atlanta Braves and starting pitcher Mike Minor reached agreement on a one-year, $3.85 million deal that will keep him from going to arbitration, MLB.com reported Friday.
Minor, who was eligible for arbitration for the first time, gets a significant pay hike over the $505,000 he made last season.
The 26-year-old left-hander started 32 games in 2013 for the Braves and posted a 13-9 record with a 3.21 ERA in 204 2/3 innings. He walked 46 batters and had 181 strikeouts. The 13 wins were a career best.
With Minor under contract, Braves players still eligible for arbitration are pitcher Craig Kimbrel, first baseman Freddie Freeman and outfielder Jason Heyward.
