Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota had to be helped off the field in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s 42-16 loss to Arizona, but Mariota said on Monday he expects to start in Friday’s game against Oregon State, the Oregonian reported.

According to the report, Mariota said he passed all the required concussion tests.

After Saturday’s loss, Mariota said he was not sure whether he had suffered a concussion or not. He was hurt when he was hit in the head by the knee of an Arizona player when Mariota was trying to make a tackle after throwing an interception.

Mariota was considered a leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy a few weeks ago, but the Ducks lost two of their past three games, and Mariota was subpar in both losses. He threw his first two interceptions of the season in the loss to Arizona.
