Ohio State is No. 3 in this week’s BCS standings, but Ohio State receiver Evan Spencer suggested on Monday that the Buckeyes are considerably better than the two teams ahead of them.
“I’m a little biased,” Spencer said, according to ESPN.com. “I think we’d wipe the field with both of them.”
He’s referring to No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Florida State, both of whom are undefeated, as is Ohio State.
The Buckeyes have won 21 games in a row, but probably need Alabama or Florida State to lose a game to get into the top two to earn a berth in the national title game. It’s also possible that unbeaten Baylkor or a one-loss team could pass the Buckeyes,
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer continues to rank the Buckeyes No. 2 in the USA Today coaches poll.
